The 28th Augsburg Seminar for Additive Manufacturing took place last week under the motto “Circular economy meets additive manufacturing”. The established event format was organized by the Fraunhofer IGCV and the iwb of the Technical University of Munich.
Dr.-Ing. Sandra Grohmann, consultant at roeren, was a speaker in the series of lectures on sustainability assessment. In her presentation, she outlined the key drivers for a more circular economy in additive manufacturing. She focused on three key levers that will enable broader market penetration in the industry:
The event once again highlighted the importance of close links between science and industry – especially when it comes to a topic of the future such as sustainable industrial production. The exchange with experts from research and practice provided new impetus and perspectives.
For roeren, this format provides a valuable platform to deepen its own expertise in the areas of circular economy, supply chain resilience and technology transformation. At the same time, it strengthens our network in science and business and helps to further expand roeren’s role as a competent partner in sustainable production and supply chain projects.
