roeren again main sponsor of the LÖWENCup 2025

The LÖWENCup was presented to the two participating U11 teams from the Lions' "Bavarian Youth Performance Center". Only the two teams from the Giesing-Cub reached the final.

On May 1, 2025, the second edition of the LÖWENCup for U11 teams took place at the TSV 1860 Munich training ground. The youth tournament, which was launched in 2024 as part of the 125th anniversary of the soccer department, has quickly established itself as a fixed date in the calendar of ambitious youth teams. roeren was once again the main sponsor of the tournament this year.

The club grounds of TSV 1860 Munich were a hive of activity on the day of the tournament.

The trophy stays in Giesing

The tournament was hosted by TSV 1860 Munich, which organized the tournament at the professionals’ training ground in Giesing with the help of the Bavarian Youth Performance Center and volunteers from the Löwen community. The eleven participating teams included renowned youth teams such as Hertha BSC, FC Augsburg, 1. FC Nürnberg and SC Paderborn. The youth team of Munich’s city rivals, FC Bayern Munich, also took part in the tournament with an U11 team.

The preliminary matches started at 10 a.m. and the final was played at around 5.30 p.m. In an all-club duel, the TSV 1860 München Dunkelblau team won 1:0 against their own club selection TSV 1860 München Hellblau. As in the previous year, the winner’s trophy remained in Giesing. roeren congratulates the hosts on their renewed tournament success. The tournament was accompanied by a colorful supporting program, including bouncy castles and soccer darts. Food and drink were also well catered for.

The youngsters from TSV 1860 Munich beat their rivals from Munich 2:0 in the preliminary round duel of the final tournament.
