Christmas campaign a complete success: €10,000 donated

Published on

Setting an example and giving hope – with this in mind, we would like to thank everyone who took part in this year’s Christmas campaign and cast their vote for one of Kindernothilfe’s three projects.

Doing good together

The “Protection from violence” project collected the most votes, which is why we donated €4,380 to the project in Somaliland. We are supporting the second-placed project “Educational opportunities for all children in Lebanon” with €3,250 and donating €2,380 to the “Nutrition and climate protection in Ethiopia” project.

It’s great that we were also able to inspire some partners to donate themselves and perhaps create a lasting presence for the needs of the children.

The projects in detail

Kindernothilfe – Education

“Education changes everything”.

Poverty and lack of education often go hand in hand. Those who have not gone to school have a harder time finding a good job and taking their lives into their own hands. Kindernothilfe is therefore committed to early childhood education, enabling children and young people to attend school and complete an apprenticeship. At the same time, girls and boys are taught important life skills and educated about contagious diseases.

Kindernothilfe – Climate protection

“Standing up to climate change”

Climate change is in full swing. Especially the poorest of the poor suffer. Kindernothilfe provides urgent help in the event of climate disasters, initiates preventive measures to be prepared for future natural disasters, and supports farmers in adapting their agriculture to climate change in the long run.

Kindernothilfe – Protection from violence

“Violence – everyday life for many children”

For many girls and boys, violence is part of their everyday lives. In its worldwide projects, Kindernothilfe cares for victims and holds perpetrators accountable. It offers children protection and care, carries out valuable educational work, and advocates for justice by contacting the police together with the children in order to report perpetrators.
